heres how to do it..... i had the same issue
I fixed it using an i850 to install the drivers.
1. goto control panel then modems,
2. delete the motorola iden usb modem from the modem list
3. unplug your i870
4. plug in the other phone 860 or older
5. open up webjal and check the usb box in preferences.
6. unhook the current phone, then connect the 870
7. enjoy
