Ok Everyone,
There seemed to be mixed issues with the last 2 decert files. Most seemed to work ok, but there were also some that had issues as well. I spent today working and compairing phone policies with Ctitanic and we went through his phone, my phone, and the decert1_ file. After which Ctitantic saw a few more keys that can be enabled to unlock the phone some more and that should also solve the Exchange issue as well. It did turn out that the reason mine was working with Exchange is I enabled an extra value on my phone. So we put it all together and tested it. Here is the bottom line......
Ctitantic created a cab file for us to use and install on our phones with the different settings all enabled. He kept up with our FREE release like we have been doing and released the cab file for our use. He has been a great help in locating the keys so everyone should thank him as well for his time.
I also worked with k3v1nc today as well. Just before more testing happened tonight I found out that the registry key 00001017 with the value of 156, breaks a program called "HotButton Plus" it seems the only way that program will work is with either the value of 16 or 144 that Ctitantic came up with today. So for now figured better stay with the 144 value cause if that breaks one app it might break more as well.
I updated the decert.zip file on my web site tonight. So inside that zip file is the document, the backup program, the backup decert2_ file, and a patch for all those that have installed decert, or decert1_ backup.
First lets take care of all the people that have already installed one of the decert files. Download the new decert.zip file from my site for now till all the other sites have been updated.
http://www.rebreathertech.com/decert/decert.zip
Now this is ONLY for people that have the decert mod installed currently:
unzip that file and than copy secoff.cab to your i930 either to your phone or to the sd card. Once the file is on the phone you will need to run it. Let it run and it will not affect any of your information and will only take a few seconds.
Once that has been completed reboot your phone. From there if everything was working fine before there is nothing to do. If you were having problems with exchange or partnerships now try to recreate them. This should give more rights to applications and also activesync so this should fix the problems some have been reporting.
Now if that does not work for you than you will need to follow below like a new person trying to install the decert mod
To install the decert for the first time you will need to copy two files over to your sd card. The backup program and the backup file called decert2_
First thing you will need to do is BACKUP or Sync your data. You will lose everything on the phone....so copy anything you need to the sd card and sync the phone. Than do a format of the phone and follow the directions in the document. after the restore REBOOT your phone than reset partnerships and everything should be normal now.
Just a side note in testing there where 2 phones that needed to have the decert2_ done twice before it actually took all the settings so if you have a problem format and restore again and see if that fixes it. Don't ask have no clue why seems you have to beat the i930 up alittle just like Nextel to get something done
