Just got a sidekick LX got a problem

Just got the LX and its connected but when i put in the SIM card it tells me its not found any one know what i can do to fix this ? and I've try the SIM card on a buds LX it works fine so i don't think its the card lol if any one can help in any way i would apprishiate it a lot thanks for your time

Go to the menu screen and go to sim settings. try cleaning the sim's numbers. after that and its still not working try a soft reset.
