i930 Java app and game loading tutorial - SlickMobi

You will need the iDEN Smartphone Web J2ME Loader and either your own webjal server or the ii patcher.

Install the Smartphone webjal to your PC as you would regular webjal. Install the patcher as you would for the regular webjal.

You must have the Microsoft Acitve Sync installed as well, because this app works in conjunction with it.

You will more than likely need to change the registry key for the Smartphone webjal.

To do so, follow this. I use Windows XP, but it is the same for windows 2000 as well.

Start\run

type in regedit

go to HKEY_ Local_ Machine\software\motorola\IDEN Smartphone Web J2ME apploader and click on that registry key

in the right pane you should see SITE_URL REG_SZ https://idenupdate.motorola.com/webjal010102/index.cgi

if the url isnt EXACTLY the same as the one posted above, make it so it is.

Run the Smartphone Webjal, and use the same blank login as regular webjal . Once you plug in your i930, Active Sync should open. Once Active Sync is connected, the Smartphone webjal will be as well, and the app should now show any java apps that are currently installed on the phone.

Click the picture of the phone in the Smartphone webjal interface, as this is the download button. A file selection box will open allowing you to browse to the java app you want to install. Click the jad of the app you want, it will load to the phone. Check your phone and it should tell you what to do from there.

Can someone help please. I downloaded the program for the i930, but it gives an error message and i cant get it to work

ok guys im getting a error

GWebJal.exe-Application Error
The application Failed to initialize properly (0xc000005). Click Ok to terminate the application.

this worked ok when i first used it is there a problem with smartphonewebJ2me
