can I put my Boost Mobile Sim Card in a nextel i860???? please help!!!

does anybody know if i can put my boost mobile sim card in my nextel i860??? or will the i860 malfunction and break.... I am worried that I will break my i860, so please somebody let me know if i can put my boost sim in my i860. thanks

Your phone has to be unlocked to support the service. If it isnt and you put it in I dont think you can "break" your phone. Anyone who knows for sure, correct me if I'm wrong but I think the worst you can do is lock the phone.

a NEXTEL i860 doesnt need to be unlocked for a boost sim to work in it but a BOOST i860 needs to be unlocked for a nextel sim to work................nd if it doest work all it will say is subsidy lock it doesnt do anything to the phone

I think you can just put your boost sim in the 860 and your good to go i dont think and im not sure you dont need the have the 860 unlocked so try just puting the boost sim in the 860 and give it a try and see what happends i think it should work

I'm probably a little late on this but you can put the boost card in an i860 and it will work fine but you will not be able to use all of the features of the phone you only loose a couple of features but the phone works fine. I've done it with my i860 before I got a nextel plan.
